If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Parents may register their child at anytime for a 2 year old or 3 year old place.
We encourage parents to register with us when their child is one to ensure a space is available for when they are ready to start as we are often oversubscribed.
Pop in or call Sue Bowden in the Nursery office for an application form.
We will gladly help you to fill this out.
In line with Lancashire County Council we will apply the following criteria if our Nursery is oversubscribed :
When the Nursery is oversubscribed, places for children will be allocated according to the following criteria, in priority order:
(i) Children in public care (looked after children) or those children at risk of becoming looked after
(ii) Children with statements for special educational needs (SEN) and those with exceptional / strong SEN reasons for attending a particular school
(iii) Exceptional / strong medical, social, welfare reasons (associated with the child and / or the family) for attending a particular school
(iv) Children who have a sibling in attendance at the time of their admission
(v) Parents / carers who provide evidence of training / education at a local establishment, working locally or established local childcare arrangements (at the time of the child’s admission)
(vi) Those living nearest the school
We offer 15 hour and 30 hour placements in our Nursery class to two year olds who receive the government funding. New government funding is available from September 2025 so two year old children can access 30 hours free if both parents are working. Please contact school to ask for availability.
Children will be offered places in the Nursery on a first come first served basis if they meet the eligibility criteria. Children will be put on a waiting list if there are no spaces and parents will be contacted if a space becomes available.
Paid places are also available upon request.
Your 2-year-old is eligible for free early education and childcare (15 hours) if you get one of the following:
