Early Years Pupil Premium Statement (EYPP) 2023-2024
In Autumn term 2023 we have 19 children who receive Early Years Pupil Premium. This term we will provide focused enhancement activities which promote the love of reading and have started to use Lancashire Red Rose Phonics Phase 1. Red Rose Phonics is used in the Primary Schools where most of of children start in Reception year and will ensure that the children are very familiar with the scheme thus supporting transitions to the next phase of education.
We will also using funding to improve our Parent Partnerships and engagement in children's learning. A series of workshops throughout the year will show how we teach the Early Years curruiculum and how parents can best support their child's learning at home.

Assessment data indicates that children with EYPP funding make rapid and sustained progress in all areas from their starting points. Using carefully planned activities the children are closing the attainment gap with their peers and are challenged to achieve at a very high standard. Children who also have special educational needs typically make smaller steps of progress and are still below their peers in all areas due to their complex needs. However in comparison to their starting points they are still making good progress.
