SEND ( Special Educational Needs and Disability)
At Woodfield Nursery School we strongly believe that every pupil regardless of sex, race, religion and special educational needs and disabilities, should be valued equally and have access to educational opportunities and a broad balanced curriculum. For all pupils, the purpose of education is the same, the goals are the same, but the help individual children need in progressing towards them will be different.
We will adapt our curriculum to meet the needs of every child, ensuring that they get the level of support needed to allow them to reach their full potential. This might include 1:1 support a Targeted Learning Plan, or additional resources to develop a particular skill. We will liaise directly with medical professionals to support the needs of children with long-term medical conditions, and ensure that staff receive appropriate training.
The School SENCo is Mrs Leanne Harrison and she works alongside our senior teacher, Nicola and our SEND team of staff.
Our SEND policy (Special Educational Needs & Disability) ensures all our pupils are able to access the curriculum. A copy of our policy is available below.
